Tragedies running amok lately
Obviously, the Vegas tragedy is the headline for this week’s news. With no known mental illness or terrorist-ideology leanings, there was nothing in his background to suggest he’d turn into a demented psychopath given over to pure evil. It turns out his father was a bad apple, but with the murderer’s seemingly normal life there were no prior red flags to tip us off in helping prevent the slaughter. As a society we really should evaluate the root causes why America has 25 times the death rate from guns as other countries. Mental health reform is an area needing review. We could certainly have the discussion over the public’s right to access high-powered automated assault rifles, as we touch on in today’s economy section and also some links in the far-left section below. But in the near-term there’s seemingly very little we can do to stop the next deranged copycat from wanting to outdo the previous attacks & get their names in the international headlines. Many of these are suicides where they’re so mad at life they’re willing to take down others. Between the rise in mental illness, the spread of terrorist propaganda, and the stress of the modern-day world where apparently some just snap, it’s highly regrettable and so sad these types of random killings have become so much more common & deadly.
But getting to the recent news stories behind the headlines, there are a number of other problems. If Trump is as narcissistic and mentally unstable as I’ve always conjectured, his insecurities and hair-triggered temper could well put us at serious risk of engaging in a nuclear war at some point during his presidency. That risk grows proportionally as his popularity wanes with the public growing tired of his insults and tirades, along with increasing frustration over his legislative failures and more incriminating evidence comes out from the scandal, Trump may be tempted to take rash military actions as a way to distract from his other travails. Don’t believe he isn’t capable of being sooooo irresponsible since he’s the master of distraction, plus as an egomaniac his own image is all he seems to care about, so he’s likely to do most anything to counter growing negative personal headlines. So while I believe the Russian evidence will soon point towards his impeachment, the process leading up to imminent removal is when our prez could be most dangerous. We have some very serious long-term external threats our nation is facing, including the likes of North Korea, Iran, Pakistan, Russia, China & various radical Islamic terrorist networks, but the greatest near-term threat may well be coming from our own White House.
After going through 100 witnesses and 100k documents, Congress still can’t reveal how much of the evidence so far points at collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians. The right will say all that evidence and there’s still no evidence of collusion. The left will say all that evidence and they still can’t rule out collusion. I’ll say it looks like we have a ways to go to uncover the facts. Congressional investigators have yet to find the smoking guns, at least none they’ve made public yet, and Mueller’s team is very tight-lipped so we don’t know what they know. But from what we do know so far it sure appears plenty of illegalities were going on. There’s no doubt Russia interfered in our election, with rock-solid evidence exposing the info they released from hacking the Hillary campaign or multiple fake ads placed in various social media platforms (everyone except Trump and the echo admit to that much). There was also a large number of communications during the campaign between the Trump staff and the Russians. Coincidence? Probably not. Some comments during the campaign hint at coordination with the Russians, including certain Trump officials calling out in advance when the compromising Hillary leaks would be released, plus Donny Jr. saying I love it, especially late in the summer as it relates to last year’s meeting in Trump Tower with the Russians who had dirt on Hillary.
Furthermore, how about some of the revelations we’ve learned that occurred here in 2017. Since the inauguration, every question to Trump’s staff about Russia were responded to with answers that subsequently proved to be lies, along with firings directly related to the Russian case. Trump himself was caught trying to influence the investigations in the Senate, House & with the FBI, which a strong case for committing obstruction of justice is obvious. There are plenty of other suspicious statements/activities along the way with lots of incriminating evidence. We need to get at all the facts in the upcoming months, but rest assured, this scandal is definitely not a nothing-burger as the echo keeps trying to claim & would like to have us believe. I’d love it if the likes of Insanity, Dimbulb and O’Reilly were to be called to testify, since they may have strategized with Trump over ways to handle the Russian case as much as his paid staff. I firmly believe crimes were committed. The only questions are if and when. That is if the investigations can uncover the crimes, and when they’ll have their findings ready to release to Congress, the media & the public.

The latest scandal news reveals some more contacts between Trump associates and the Russians that were previously unreported, while sonny-in-law Jared moved his private emails over to Trump organization computers once those emails had been discovered, plus a third private email account has also been revealed. It leads us to wonder what have they been hiding? And I have yet to hear chants of “lock him up” coming from Trumpeters who attend Trump’s rallies as Jared and numerous White House staff have been caught conducting official business through personal emails. Plus we’re learning more about how extensive the Russian fake ads on social media really were, in which states targeted included the pivotal Midwestern swing states like WI, MI and OH. Current estimates put the number at 10 million people who saw those phony ads, certainly enough to perhaps alter the results considering fewer than 100K votes could have changed the outcome of this past presidential election.
These ads are a direct attack on our democracy, creating/fueling divisions & favoring one candidate over the other. And the intricate knowledge of our societal/cultural issues along with geo-targeting suggests they probably got inside help from Americans (that likelihood even confirmed by former CIA heads). The White House also sat on evidence for nearly a year about Russia targeting the voting systems in 21 states. A big reason we must get to the bottom of all this is to put up our defenses so Russia and other enemy states can’t compromise future elections in the same way. Highlighting some other articles, there are updates from today given to us by the Senate Intel Committee, plus the final links below comment on our President’s routinely erratic behavior & comments, resulting in his well-deserved low approval ratings. But these very first couple of articles about Russian evidence are interesting, plus it appears Mueller is taking that British spy’s dossier seriously.
The GOP civil war heats up

Much like these prominent conservative party supporters are warning about in these articles, myself & millions like me can no longer support a party that’s gone off the deep end by shifting so far out on the extreme. We must save the party from the radicalized echo voices who’ve bamboozled millions of naïve GOP supporters falling for unworkable nihilistic rhetoric. Every GOP voter should click on & read these spot-on comments from those in-the-know for gaining proper perspectives, since in this intra-party civil war America badly needs the pragmatic rationals to defeat the scorched-earth radicals. These are examples of the voices of reason & common sense the party base needs to start following. Until the party finally comes to their senses, I will continue railing against a party that has badly lost their way. Rubin in the last link definitely nails what the GOP’s problem is. Saving the GOP would require a new administration and new congressional leadership, not to mention a revamp of its agenda. An irrational base cannot dictate the party’s direction if it hopes to govern sensibly. Perhaps the center-right needs to present a sane political philosophy and then find the voters to embrace it.

Some of this is true & some of it greatly exaggerated, but I include these articles in trying to serve a purpose. I know it’s difficult to get the rightwing echo-crowd to even look at what they consider socialist garbage, but it would give them certain perspectives they’ve never heard before from living inside their bubble. Bipartisan solutions to help America can only come about by communicating & understanding the other side’s points of view. And this liberal source always comes up with juicy tidbits on Trump.
