Collusion Unearthed which amounts to Conspiracy & Abuse of Power…Things are happening fast! The evidence coming out is rather overwhelming, so it looks like we have a smoking gun! Those of us on the anti-Trump side now have genuine momentum. I thought yesterday was the worst day for the Trump presidency, but that was before today happened! And tomorrow could be worse yet! Check out the Thursday hearing for the acting director of national intelligence as it happens. If the facts keep coming out as bad for the prez as I think they are, he won’t be long for the office.
This Ukraine scandal has real legs, which compared to the Russian probe is more easily understood with our own American president caught directly participating in the illegalities. Not only do we see obvious evidence of Trump attempting collusion with the president of Ukraine, but it looks like there was a probable quid pro quo. Even the mere act of holding up defense aid that was already approved for Ukraine while requesting a favor from them, that is Trump exerting pressure towards a foreign nation to help him out in his next election. So yes, there is apparent criminality emanating from this scandal, from conspiracy to obstruction to abusing power & any number of things.
The DNI Maguire testifies in Congress tomorrow, the one who had blocked the whistleblower complaints from getting to the House Intelligence Committee when originally requested. There are conflicting reports whether he had threatened to resign if he wasn’t allowed to speak freely tomorrow. In fact, with an official impeachment inquiry now going on, any & all relevant documents & witnesses having to do with multiple probes had better be forthcoming. That declared inquiry certainly adds weight & urgency to any such requests.
Trump remains a master of lying by trying to blame his accusers & opponents of similar offenses, which his deceitful media-echo perpetuates those lies & his bamboozled supporters believe whatever they say, allowing the prez to get away with all that constant barrage of falsehoods & distortions among his ardent fans. The whole alternate-reality world of Trump-land represents an evil kingdom, so we must defeat them before they steal our democracy. The mounting evidence of criminality might blow the lid off Trump’s deceptive game, so an increasing number of Americans can accept the facts of who this guy really is & join us. We’re on an important mission to remove an unfit president. If Trump goes down as looks increasingly likely, hopefully the Trump suck-ups in Congress & the echo media-world led by Fox will have their credibility & reputations permanently discredited.
Even if too many GOP senators don’t vote their conscience, voting instead for the cult & don’t provide enough overall votes to convict, the criminal revelations we’re learning more about through the congressional inquiry could so badly tarnish the prez, he could become toxic & totally unelectable by this time next year. A certain percentage of Trump supporters may also find their inner values & turn on Trump, especially if they’re paying attention & soon discover how egregious Trump’s crimes are. We can only hope some among the millions of Trumpeters in the GOP base can have their eyes opened to how their unambiguous support for a hopelessly corrupt demagogue, really has the same basic effect as them personally being un-American, anti-patriotic, anti-democratic, anti-constitutional, lawless & immoral. We should realize how those helping keep Trump in power are doing tremendous damage, even if they’re unaware of it. They are also extremely gullible! We’ve just hit a majority count in the House of Reps who support impeachment in some way, shape or form, so if the evidence keeps pouring in & is as bad as expected, impeachment in the House seems inevitable. Six separate House committees will work together in revealing the facts, so let’s hope they can get access to the pertinent evidence so all Americans can learn the truth. The whistle-blower complaint also just went to Congress Wednesday afternoon, which the reps who viewed it stated it was very damning, while it also laid out a path going forward for investigators. Late word is the documents detailing the complaint has been declassified & made public Thursday morning.
But today’s release of the call transcript was damaging enough to the prez to really get the ball rolling, which that rolling snowball is gathering speed & threatens to turn into an avalanche. A desperate Trump & his minions are taking extreme measures to try heading off the momentum against them. They’ve trotted out the Biden scandal as a diversion, but that matter was already reviewed & debunked, so now it’s become just another in a long line of crazy far-right conspiracies. Trump even floated out his old favorite with Ukraine’s president, asking him to search for Hillary’s emails. All those Trump loyalists out there whose knee-jerk reaction is to always blame the Dems & media for this mess, truly Trump has brought all this on himself.
