Our Country’s Future is Riding on that Pivotal Mathematical Formula…I had not been doing much commentary prior to this week with my blog site going down, but this news story is just too big & deserves our full attention. So today you have my impassioned thoughts here unleashed, & once I get going on a rant there’s no holding back. The lawlessness we’re seeing is so over-the-top, it’s hard to believe there’s even a debate. Truly the overall body of evidence demonstrating criminal behavior by the mob boss in the White House is clear beyond refute, so except for partisan politics it’d be an open-&-shut case. Just on the surface of what we’ve learned about Trump through the years, there’s the abuse of power, corruption, conspiracy to defraud the United States, obstruction of justice, bribery, extortion, tax fraud/evasion, charity fraud, campaign finance violations through illegal hush money payments to mistresses, sexual abuse & assault, defrauding contractors & defrauding Trump University students.
Stay tuned, since more crimes are surely about to come to light. Gee, what a swell guy our nation elected to lead us. Now that we also know about Ukraine with even more shocking revelations yet to come, he’s gone well beyond the threshold for high crimes and misdemeanors. So we now must take the unpleasant step our Constitution demands of us. Having him as our president goes well beyond politics & being a conservative shouldn’t matter when we view the bigger picture, since this guy is badly tarnishing & diminishing who we are as a nation. The Trump regime could establish a precedent where our values, morals, common decency, upholding truths & the rule of law are sacrificed at the alter of greed & power, which could literally lead to undermining/destroying our democracy & free society as we’ve known it. So do not just look at the current bombshell headlines as a mere scandal, it’s really our country & our lives which are at stake! We’ve got to stop him now before it’s too late!
Impeachment by the House is likely to happen this year depending on the additional evidence gathered. It’s tempting to roll out a whole litany of Trump’s criminal behavior, but it’s the Ukraine scandal that is resonating & should be the focus. Congress is now requesting documentation & witness testimony at a furious pace, since the ongoing investigations must be done quickly yet thoroughly. The hearings should zero in on the Trump illegalities & not so much on process questions, since that is what will best connect with the public. But the impeachment train has left the station going downhill with no brakes, so there’s no stopping it now. Despite putting on a brave face, many among the White House staff, GOP congresspeople & echo-pundits are privately panicked that the leader they serve may soon go down, while some close aides are reportedly worried about his increasingly unstable mental state. Trump is having very bad days as our song will explain in tomorrow’s Part 3.
The key going forward is to gather further evidence offering enough concrete proof to where even many in the GOP start turning on the prez. Lots of Trump sycophants now smugly predict the Senate would never convict, but we don’t know at this point how much worse the evidence can get. We already saw a smoking gun this past week & this scandal is evolving fast, so as this story keeps snowballing, just imagine a whole series of smoking guns aligned with the original smoking gun coming out in the next few weeks or months. The overwhelming onslaught of wrongdoings exposed could make it very difficult for GOP senators to keep denying or sweeping the whole thing under the rug. At some point, wouldn’t it be fair to think they could muster up enough integrity to put country over partisan politics?
Should the facts become irrefutable our prez has been living a life of crime, GOP senators will be given a choice, either voting their moral conscience & saving their own legacies, or caving to the most vocal extremists among the echo & their constituents. Some will probably go one way & the rest go the other, but the calculus will come down to whether at least 20 of the 53 GOP senators decide to abide by the Constitution & vote on the right side of history. We’ve already seen proof from the headlines this week our president has sold out our country, so there’s no longer any justification for him remaining in office, which even Republicans should start coming around to that sober reality. He’s always been a demonstrably despicable person, but we now have irrefutable evidence he’s also a criminal.
Don’t pay attention to the crazy echo pundits claiming the Senate would never convict, as getting to 20 is eminently achievable if the evidence becomes damning enough. More documents & witnesses will soon add to the evidence, which should just a few prominent GOP congresspeople publicly turn on Trump, the floodgates could open for more to follow. There’s an eerie silence this week among GOP senators to the news, plus comments of concern from Romney & Sasse could become the cracks to the dam breaking. Much will hinge on public opinion, which already this past week polling shows more have become in favor of some sort of impeachment proceedings than not. After the House impeaches (likely) this year, yes it could happen that Trump does indeed get convicted by the Senate. From there the dominoes can also start to fall around his corrupt empire & crony enablers, including crazy Rudy, AG Barr & possibly even VP Pence. Conservatives needn’t be overly alarmed, since President Pelosi would only be in the White House for a short year, but she’d be far better than who’s in there now!
On Ukraine, the whistle-blower complaint matched up perfectly with the president’s own transcripts of the call, plus corroborates with other facts that have become known, so we know the info is credible. It doesn’t matter one iota whether the whistle-blower is partisan or not, as long as the substance of the evidence is accurate & substantiated. So despite whatever motivations the whistle-blower may have had, the president’s call transcripts alone without that anonymous person’s complaint provide enough proof of crimes. Yet the echo is on the attack against that person. I think Geraldo Rivera lives somewhere around here, so if by chance I ever run into him, I’d like to call him out on his threats to punch the whistle-blower. Perhaps my line of questioning might even incite him to take a swing at me too, a foolish move he would promptly come to regret. He was once a relatively sane voice on Fox fake news, but the evil all around him has enveloped & corrupted him too.
Let’s hope that whistle-blower can be protected, especially if permitted to testify privately before a congressional committee. Other witnesses including the whistle-blower’s sources/corroborators could also voluntarily come forward (or be subpoenaed) to confirm/add to the facts, so we will be finding out plenty more. On any reluctant witnesses who are subpoenaed, if the White House keeps stonewalling & exerting executive privilege, that’s contempt of Congress & more proof of obstruction. Also expect other whistle-blowers will now find the courage to come forward. But on those concerns about this week’s whistle-blower, all those nutty & crazed Second Amendment fanatics could follow the lead of the Trumpian echo, putting the life of this patriotic American in danger. In this hyper crazed-media atmosphere, it’d be hard to imagine we can keep their identity secret as happened with Deep Throat of Watergate fame, but it’d be nice if he/she could remain anonymous. That current whistle-blower may ultimately go down in history as Trump’s deep throat who exposed criminality & took down a presidency.
Also compiled this week are interesting timelines about events connected with the Ukraine scandal, showing how Trump & crazy Rudy had this all planned out & acted upon since the beginning of the year. They wanted Ukraine to help dig up dirt on the Biden’s & other political opponents (& Trump still can’t let go of Hillary’s emails), which it’s clear they intended to hold up promised military aid to use as leverage, including Javelin missiles which can be used as a defense against Russian incursions. And that Biden conspiracy the echo is hyping has already been looked into & largely debunked, as Uncle Joe’s son was using his family name to profit off business dealings, but that was all. Also doing basically the exact same thing, do the names Ivanka, Jared, Eric & Don Jr. ring a bell? But even if there were anything to the Biden story, it still doesn’t let Trump off the hook for his crimes. Yes, the real Ukraine crime turning the tide this week looks to be the tipping point for this presidency, with the attempt to collude with that foreign nation adding to Trump’s long history of corruption & crimes. Nixon went down based on the cover-up, so with Ukraine we see cover-ups in spades & so much more. You’d think Trump would have learned by now about the legal jeopardy from collusion after monitoring the Russian probe for two years.
There is no legal defense for what Trump has done, so him & his henchmen are desperately trying to deny, spin, deflect & distort, accusing the other side of preposterous conspiracy theories in muddying the waters. We’ve seen how those crazies have gotten even crazier now that they’re in serious trouble. This travesty of truths works well with their naive base, as Trumpeters will believe any lie no matter how ridiculous in the hopes their hero can get off, so Trump & his echo are willing to keep dishing it out. Trump’s massive spin-machine has cried wolf dozens if not hundreds of times when he blames his opponents for the very same crimes he committed himself, which every single time those echo-falsehoods were easily disproven, so I just don’t understand the kind of mental gymnastics & twisted mind contortions it takes for his supporters to keep believing the repeated lies that follow the same patterns. I guess when some hear similar lies over & over again, they become fervent believers. It sort of reminds me of football fans who’ll root for the home team no matter what, but in politics it’s far more sinister & destructive.
These hideous presidential crimes did not occur in a vacuum since the prez had plenty of help from those corrupt political allies & echo-pundits, whose slathering support for a demagogue should force them to pay the consequences as they go down with the ship. Throughout history any fascist dictator was enabled by power-hungry accomplices, which we must not allow that to happen in America. I’ve stated & warned dozens of times don’t think fascism could never happen in our nation. Too many Americans need woke as they seem indifferent to what’s currently going on, which was a similar dangerous mentally far too many complacent German citizens had during the 1930’s. It’s almost as if that population from Germany who’ve since passed away were reincarnated into modern-day, right-wing America.

I have been proven right about Trump through my commentaries over the past few years, with the exception of my predicting he’d get booted out of office more than a year ago. I underestimated the extent these massive Trumpian cover-ups would protect him, with the obstruction strategies being so complete & the far-right echo-media so far into his corner, they’ve managed to snooker their doting base into not believing all the obvious evidence of crimes. So I just reason abiding by the rule of law & doing the principled thing are better late than never, forcing us to be patient in waiting & hoping for impeachment/conviction. Our wait may soon be over.
Of course I have grave concerns for our nation, since as a close observer I’m convinced the head of our country is a chronic liar, corrupt con man & habitual criminal, plus is also temperamentally, morally & mentally unfit for the office. He’s actually a proven liar with practically every word he says these days & it sickens me to listen to him, with each lie being chronicled & confirmed over 12,000 times since becoming president. Even established democracies like ours may not be able to withstand/recover from such an assault on truths, laws & democratic institutions by a sinister force. I’ve often stated he corrupts everyone he touches & is the leader of a cult, & I truly believe that. Granted, forcing him from office will further exacerbate our bitter divides & no doubt lead to many incidents of violence, but democracy can often be a messy process & freedoms never come cheap or easy. So yes, removing a cancer from the White House will come at a price, which those rough waters could extend on for years. Trumpeters won’t go down easily. But it’s better than allowing the crux of the problem to fester & grow, so we must have the courage to do what’s right no matter how unpleasant. And be assured Trump is the one entirely to blame for this mess.
There are reports the White House also hid Trump’s calls with Putin & the Saudi prince, so we can only guess at this point what Trump might have said & the extent he may have sold out America. One thing we do know is details of a report that came out last night, when back in 2017 Trump told senior Russian officials in the Oval Office he didn’t care about them screwing around with our elections. So in essence, he gave tacit approval for the Russians to keep interfering in our elections! This is the guy with the title President of the United States telling the Russians it’s hunky dory for them to taint our elections & disenfranchise American voters! That’s just another reason Trump cannot remain president.
