The real mistake was made in the GOP primaries
When voters are asked why they voted for Trump last November, we often get some cockamamie answers blaming Hillary for emails or Benghazi, plus all the backlash against Obama with the fervent desire to change directions, twisting their logic as a way to justify overlooking Trump’s many obvious flaws. At this point I’m tired of hearing all the Hillary & Obama blaming, since they’re no longer in power & are now mostly irrelevant. But we’re currently paying for the mistake made on election day, which was really set up by the huge blunder made by GOP voters throughout the primaries, when the echo led them around by the nose & told them to vote for either Trump or Cruz. Either of them elected our President is or would have been disastrous.
If we really want to get things done in DC & start solving our numerous problems, America needs guided by knowledgeable/unifying leadership from someone with a proven track record of accomplishments. If you’re willing to watch this full 10-minute interview that just appeared on Meet the Press, a candidate who was on the ballot in the primaries just flat-out makes sense in his views, as compared to the unintelligible aimless ramblings we hear whenever Trump speaks. From watching this, on a scale of 1-100 with 1 being just as bad of a President as Trump & 100 being a way better President than Trump, Kasich would rate somewhere around 632,779. It’s totally off the scale!!! There is no comparison when we see how we’ve now put an incompetent/buffoonish wrecking ball in the White House.

This presidency is a train wreck….
Following this presidency is like watching a Browns game, unprecedented incompetency beyond anything that’s ever happened in history. This train wreck is such a disaster, it’s hard to look away from something never before seen. From the newsfeeds over the weekend these past few days, I’m fixated on the Russian scandal since it provides our best chance to have the President removed so we can start getting America back on track. From what we know so far with a huge number of reports having come out this year, there really was something going on with the Russians. And whatever his campaign was up to, it’s a virtual certainty Trump himself would have known about it. So for those who review the links to articles at the bottom of my commentaries, it’s apparent Trump is not just an incompetent President, but a thoroughly despicable human being. The preponderance of evidence is quite clear. Russia offers the real hope we can legally remove & possibly even prosecute him, which in the end it’s what will turn out best for America.
We’ve found out Reince Priebus had a rather long discussion with Mueller. Priebus was always distanced enough from Trump, so now that he’s lost his prestigious position inside the White House & being so closely associated with whatever was happening behind the scenes, it’s highly conceivable he could be the first high-profile figure to flip on Trump. We also may have found out the reason Trump hired Manafort as his campaign manager. In fact, it looks like there were 60 million reasons. If the Russians loaned or paid off or whatever the reason $60M went to Manafort, what do you suppose they expected in return? Sure looks like a quid pro quo was going on, where both sides wanted something big in return. Mueller is tasked with following the money & finding out the reasons behind the deal, & to what extent Trump knew. It’d be preposterous to think he was kept out of the loop on what happened, especially now that we know Russia bombarded America with an avalanche of information helpful to him & damaging to his opponent. I’m convinced Trump was in on the gig with Russia, we just need to wait on the proof.
I always knew we were playing with fire on Trump. No doubt I paid a lot closer attention than most during the campaign, but everything I saw in this guy was both appalling & disturbing. I remain amazed he actually got elected, maybe through the assistance of a foreign adversary. But as bad as I knew his presidency would be, it’s actually turned out much worse than expectations. I’ve always speculated he’s a psychopath just from the way he’s constantly lying. Add in his track record of being a con man & sexual predator, & we see someone entirely unfit for office. Let’s also throw in he’s the most clueless, incompetent & divisive President of all time, which as Americans we’d better hope the Russian scandal or even the 25th Amendment can give us license to legally do what’s required before he does permanent damage to our nation.
On the scary international scene, maybe Trump’s true motives by provoking North Korea & threatening to pull out of the Iran agreement are to entice them to strike at us first, providing a reason to retaliate with an all-out assault targeting their nuclear programs. If so, that’s certainly a hugely dangerous strategy that could put millions immediately at risk upon launching a military strike, but the calculation just might be it’s the only possible way to arrest their nuclear programs. If we ever do resort to war as a last resort, we’d better have a viable plan with a high probability of success, along with getting other major nation states to sign off on the idea. Success would also mean using conventional missiles targeted at their nuclear sites with overwhelming speed & power, so in the case of North Korea preventing their ability to launch a nuclear retaliatory strike, along with all existing nuclear nations needing to keep setting the example nukes should never be used again. Also on a side note, our leaders are derelict in their duties by not ramping up our defenses against an EMP attack.

The articles about the Russian fake ads on social media paint a picture they may have indeed swayed the election! Below that are links on Trump’s mental state which is where the 25th Amendment could come into play (even loose-cannon Bannon agrees with that). There’s a Politico article that reveals Trump from an early age was immersed in the Peale positive-thinking mantra, where a mind can be conditioned (tricked) into believing false realities. So with all of Trump’s lying within his delusional psychopathy, he may not even realize he’s lying. Other articles present how Trump’s temperamental instability offers such a challenge to the White House staff & congressional GOP members alike, always trying against all odds to tactfully contain him & his outbursts. And keeping him focused is next to impossible, while feeding his ego with lavish praise is one of the few tricks that works….but only temporarily.
Moving on down the link list, with all the publicity lately surrounding the Weinstein sexual perversions, it’s so easy to forget our current President last year was accused by numerous women of similar violations. Trump just received a subpoena from one of the women he abused. Ironic how Weinstein lost his position over his sexual attacks & likely faces criminal charges, rather than being given a promotion like we gave Trump nearly a year ago. There are reports on the dangers offered up by Iran & North Korea, which such nation states becoming nuclear states represent perhaps the greatest threats ever known to mankind. See links where Trump lies about former Presidents not calling families of fallen soldiers, since his kneejerk reaction is typically blaming Obama for his own shortcomings (of course, what does Trump not lie about?). Last but not least, see McCain’s impassioned message on the dangers of the nationalist/isolationist dogma plus the links with polls showing Trump’s shrinking popularity. So as usual there are an overwhelming number of links from the newsfeeds this week, which in a Trumpian world we’re always in a perpetual state of information overload.

Included for the benefit of Cubs fan, these stories offer hard-hitting opinions on Trump, this time featuring Russia, his fragile mental state, Bannon, sexual abuse, healthcare & other topics. On the issue of sexual abuse as I referred to above, of the recent high profile cases where influential powerful men were accused of sexual assault from multiple accusers, such as Weinstein, O’Reilly, Ailes, Cosby & Trump, I find it interesting only one of them didn’t have their careers damaged by it. I would estimate this liberal publication is a mixture of truth & exaggeration, but their views on Trump are far more accurate than whatever the far-right echo promotes.
