With Trump I’m Horrified, but with His Base I’m Genuinely Disappointed…See a tribute to a great American at the bottom who often said in speeches We Are Better Than That! But first, it’s unconscionable for the prez & his henchmen to constantly attack, undermine & smear the intelligence community including the FBI, basically because they were doing their jobs by uncovering Russian interference in the 2016 election along with investigating the key players who may have become involved. It’s also inexcusable for Trump & his echo to try relentlessly discrediting the real news, just for reporting the facts which they don’t like & I’ll admit is largely anti-Trump, but the prez has brought the negative coverage on himself through his corrupt actions, bullying & constant lying. By proving to indeed be a lying slimeball & con man without the moral mandate to lead our nation, it’s astounding how most conservatives are so bamboozled as to overlook it all. For this entire commentary here in Part 2, I’m not going easy on the Trump base. My slings & arrows directed at them are well-deserved.
Trump is a master marketer who’s already sold his fans on anything he might say. He’s also a professional brander who consumes the cable TV coverage & what’s being said about him, concocting fairy tales to rebrand himself. Trump coordinates the denials with his toadies, repeatedly lying about their wrongdoings till they get caught, then are forced to admit the wrongs by claiming it was never wrong. So as president he doesn’t so much solve problems as he changes the optics, expertly coming up with some scheme or conspiracy that can divert or alter the narrative in his favor. The entire echo messaging apparatus compliantly joins in so the base will buy in without discernment. And Trumpeters don’t get a pass from us for being gullible, since they’re the ones who elected this clown & continue to enable him:
Some more tricks of his trade. It seems the leader of the cult can lead his echo & base around by the nose, sometimes deliberately creating chaos/troubles so he can swoop in & save the day, giving himself something to brag about while cleverly distracting from his own scandals constantly in the news. And those well-deserved criticisms he hears about himself in the headlines, the prez has a standard defense of turning it around by blaming (falsely) his political opponents for the exact same offenses. Trump always needs an enemy to vilify, helping distract from his own villainous behavior & keeping his base amped up. Of course, he demonizes the real news so his merry band of Trumpeters are trained to never trust the journalistic media, instead swallowing the crazy alternatives when the echo helps turn up the noise on their made-up criticisms against Trump’s opposition.
Whenever Trump opens his mouth, he’s spouting some utopian society he claims is of his own making, but is actually all make-believe nonsense. Trump world prefers perpetuating disinformation & conspiracies over the truth as a means to retain power, allowing them to continue their assault on the Constitution & balance of powers which lean in favor of dictatorial rule over democracy. The vast majority of Americans had better side with truth & justice before allowing a demagogue & his cronies to lead us down that slippery slope into totalitarianism. As I’ve often stated, this is no longer about left or right politics, or liberal vs. conservative ideologies. It’s much bigger than that. We’re now in an existential battle of right or wrong, good vs. evil, including the choice between standing up for the common good of all Americans or retreating into an echo-bubble of selfish tribal grievances. The longer we allow leaders like Trump & his ilk to keep getting away with their lawless corruption, it ultimately becomes a battle between a free democratic society vs. fascist tyranny. Trumpeters have become very scary. We see the psychotic fervor in crowds at the Trump rallies, but there are millions throughout the country possessing the same obsessive, twisted mindset. Trumpeters have become unpatriotic, lawless, gullible, immoral & goofy (ooooh that’s gotta hurt). They think nothing of tainting the Constitution since they’re oblivious to even doing it, much like they’re unaware about elevating a demagogue’s intention to become a dictator. Those cult campaign rallies we’re seeing at various locations in homage to Trump are the closest things we’ve ever seen in America to the 1930’s Nazi Nuremberg rallies. Their sick mentalities are the type of people who’d not only make an evil video like this, but cheer approvingly while watching it:
Psychologically Unwell?
What I’ve been saying for four years about Trump has proven accurate, but it’s even worse than that. We no longer have a functioning leader of our country. He seems to be unraveling & if his cabinet weren’t members of his cult, this should otherwise be a 25th Amendment moment that our commander-in-chief lacks the mental capacities to perform the duties of his office. As I heard Peter Wehner say in a TV spot a couple days ago, it seems the prez is psychologically unwell, & from all available evidence I would say his unstable mental well-being has also led him into a life of crime. And I’m just baffled anyone could still support him, as some such loyal followers seem to follow him unconditionally like as if they’ve become hollow-headed zombies:
Rapist-in-Chief?
The number of women accusing Trump of sexual abuse/assault now numbers in the 40’s. So who would you choose to believe, 40+ women or our pathological liar-in-chief? From the preponderance of evidence, our leader is an abuser of women, rapist & even a pedophile rapist! I truly believe those horrible events took place based on all the reports which have come out. That includes my belief an underage girl under the name Katie Johnson was raped by Trump but then subsequently threatened into silence. The details of the evidence seem to point in that direction, especially when considered in conjunction with the accounts of several dozen women. But should any of this surprise us, based on the prez’s selfish narcissistic instincts & pattern of serial criminal behavior?
I know, I know. I’ll be the first to admit it’s truly astounding we’d ever think such things of an American president, but haven’t we seen enough of Trump to know? Not only do these reports tell us all we need to know about our president, it also tells us plenty about what we should know concerning the people still backing him. Who could support such a monster? They’re either deceived, ignorant, evil &/or just not paying attention, since there can be no other options (if only Trumpeters were savvy enough to understand what they’re doing & finally realize the true traits of the leader they put their trust in). And the echo deceiving the conservative base is just plain evil. Overall that entire cult by enabling Trump are responsible for excusing abhorrent behavior & perhaps also doing none other than undermining our democracy.
Myself being a long-time conservative & GOP supporter, I always assumed my fellow like-minded patriots were sensible, moral, honest, upstanding, law-abiding citizens who could always be counted on as a force for good in America, but now I don’t even recognize them anymore. Whatever happened to these people? When our party turned radical, they followed right along, seemingly lacking discernible skills for thinking on their own as the Trumpian-echo has them preprogrammed like robots. As the recent criminal evidence keeps piling up for the one they consider their omnipotent leader, there can be no more excuses, so I really don’t care (nor should you) about offending Trumpeters based on the damage they’re causing to the country we love:

As I have been accurately stating for years, there was never anything nefarious to Hillary’s emails. But that doesn’t stop Trump’s large stable of nutwings from trotting out a constant barrage of outrageous conspiracy theories that are factually untrue & lacking any credible evidence. Speaking of no evidence, our corrupt AG Barr who’s made a blood sacrifice to the Trump cult, is expanding his probe into the origins (oranges) of the 2016 FBI investigation by unleashing a conspiratorial henchman. They’re wanting to use it as a smokescreen for diverting attention away from the crimes of this administration. Those conspiracy theories about 2016 they’re dredging up again have long been debunked, but Trump-world is desperate & will stop at nothing to muddy the waters through changing the narrative:
