Don’t Believe the Hype…Most of the economic articles we post in Part 3 have a common theme. They reveal badly distorted & uneven economic conditions at a time when many of the metrics are so positive. Among the articles below include the titles America’s Wealth Gap has Soared over the Last Century, plus We Squandered Economic Recovery, & another one U.S. Jobs Market Isn’t as Healthy as It Seems. That’s typical of what we’re seeing with the real economy. Trump hasn’t done hardly anything to help the economy other than tax cuts that spiked deficits & exacerbated wage/wealth gaps, so to the degree some positive things are happening in the economy are happening in spite of Trump.
And the failures from this prez are distinct & numerous. Such failures resulted from Trump’s flip-flopping, stubbornness, incompetence, cluelessness & lack of leadership. Prime examples are there’s no infrastructure bill, or new healthcare plan, or gun safety bill, or the wall being built (since he backtracked on the DACA part of the agreement). The Dems are not the do-nothing party as the House has passed a number of reasonable bills (& some others that have gone too far) in addressing these myriad of concerns, but they’ve all gone onto the Senate to die, being blocked by the GOP who’s the obstruction party.
