Demand Higher Standards…Yes, I was a lifelong Republican until recently. Much like with Trump’s impeachment, I also supported the impeachment of President Bill Clinton. I’ve always felt the person holding the most powerful office in the world should be held to higher standards. If we insist on better people to elect to that position, then those who don’t measure up need not apply. Trump gave us ample reason to reject him during the last campaign, but he bamboozled voters with his bold promises. And now should Trump’s high crimes & misdemeanors go unpunished, it opens the door for a wave of future presidential candidates to run despite being dishonest, divisive, destructive, immoral, unhinged, & corrupt demagogues only in it for themselves, not the country. It also sets a precedent cheating to win is acceptable. I post a ton of links in all my messages, since our nation faces grave dangers from within & Americans need to stay informed & alert.
