Evil-Echo Empire update….As the echo-crowd avoids the real Trump news & are in complete denial on the scandal, they’re in for a rude awakening when the truth comes out. For those paying attention following real news like the gazillions of links I’ve sent out & as I also stated tonight in part 1, there’s an OVERWHELMING amount of circumstantial evidence we’ve already seen this year! We’ve literally seen hundreds of suspicious activities, denials, deflections, cover-ups, secrecy & out-&-out lies. Now it’s just a matter of the investigations piecing it all together.
Bannon told a litany of non-stop lies in his 60 Minutes interview. He did speak a few truths by saying the Comey firing was a huge blunder & that our focus should be on helping working people who’ve for decades been losing ground. But he is not at all a credible spokesperson when he sides with racist, bigoted & xenophobic attitudes, promotes a fanatically-nationalistic alt-right narrative & engages in the politics of division which only appeals to a narrow base. He also said the litmus test for GOP politicians was totally supporting Trump right after the Access Hollywood video was released a month prior to the election, which in essence is saying there’s no room in the party for moral values.
The articles below are mainly represented by Bannon’s rants & Facebook ads placed by Russian bots. Also check out the disappearing GOP moderates along with Katy Tur’s wild & harrowing ride. As always there’s links to the prerequisite knuckleheads polluting the minds of their echo-audiences. There’s also links toward the bottom offering a disturbing potential future of our freedoms usurped by the whims of monopolistic tech giants, with social media platforms helping to drive warring ideological factions through preaching to their respective choirs that accentuate tribalism & paranoia. A very interesting take on the echo-crowd is here in this very first link….
Fox fake-news about to offer 3 straight hours of idiocy….in primetime, with Sucker Tucker, Insanity Hannity & now this new addition. It would be the equivalent of Rush Dimbulb, Mark Levin & Alex Jones coming to TV & running back-to-back-to-back. Here’s a good promo for that lineup: Must NOT see TV on Fox tonight!….
Yes, here is real proof of media bias….
Look at how this congressional district here in Ohio is drawn up….It smothers diversity as districts are carved up based on having likeminded voters. It’s the reason radical nutjobs are being sent to DC & division/gridlock prevails. This may well be the #1 political issue that needs fixed before we can start fixing all the other problems we’re facing….
What the heck is he doing?….There are two ways to look at this. In meeting with Schumer & Pelosi & apparently striking a deal that will protect Dreamers, Trump is reaching across the aisle in what might help usher in a new era of bipartisanship, something missing in DC for far too long. Could this also finally lead to immigration reform? On the other hand, his wild vacillating might just further indicate his lack of core principles while proving again to Congress & the public he can’t be trusted with any position he takes, while his Art of the Deal really amounts to caving.
Let’s hope it turns into a constructive spirit of bipartisanship where Dem & GOP politicians are encouraged to work together, which can help strengthen the voices of rational pragmatism within the GOP that can allow for getting things done, leaving the radical extremists within the GOP out in the cold. Another hugely beneficial outcome of such a scenario might be to conflate the crazy rightwing echo-messaging, perhaps leaving them & their bamboozled audiences confused & discredited. Plus anything like a bipartisan consensus on DACA that can simultaneously tick off Steve King, Ann Coulter, Rush Dimbulb & Breitbart has to be a good thing. Trump’s only chance to get things done & bump up his approval numbers would necessitate having the courage to anger his core base, but that’s sure to prove a very narrow tightrope walk.
Expect him to keep staying unpredictable & changing at a moment’s notice based on whatever ways the media & echo winds are blowing. For the sake of America, let’s hope this entire episode produces the duo bonus of bipartisanship & an echo crackup….
Economy section….After having misread the tea leaves on Trumpcare, now the attention
has turned to some sort of tax reform, which seems to revolve around the desire to actually show they can get something done rather than sparking economic growth. Generally the investor class pays a smaller tax rate than the working class, even those making 10x, 100x or 1000x more in passive income than those who work. Despite this disparity & in light of accelerating wage/wealth gaps, that Trump & the GOP apparently seek to further exaggerate that trend would only end up being counterproductive. We’ve seen how GOP
tax policies through the empirical evidence of George W. or individual states have demonstrated they’re far more likely to spike deficits than economic growth. And if truth be known, job creation with rising wages is going to take a whole lot more smarter policies with various other actions than simply fiddling with tax cuts.
Evidence suggests wealthy investors have recently seen a big uptick in their incomes to where much if not most of it doesn’t get reinvested back into our economy, but largely gets hoarded & even sheltered in offshore tax havens. Supply-side trickle-down tax cuts are long-time hardened GOP orthodoxy which have become several decades out-of-date, especially since these are not the early 80’s when Reagan pared back the top marginal rate from 70%. Plus in their desired tax-utopian fairyland, growth projections are always over-exaggerated. To spark sustained & shared economic growth based on current circumstances, effective tax reform must focus on bottom-up tax relief rather than top-down, putting more money in the hands of workers who most need it & will certainly spend it, giving an ongoing boost to consumer spending which is the primary driver of our economy.
We’ll see in the next week or two more of the details what Trump might push for in conjunction with Congress. At least there are encouraging signs he seeks to carve something out in a bipartisan way & he claims it will not be a tax cut for the rich. Trump shirks responsibility by passing the onus onto Congress to get specific on the details, since he doesn’t want to take any blame for whatever blowback is sure to come. Should Congress pattern a plan after some of the ideas in Dave Camp’s tax proposal he put together 3-4 years ago, there were valid points in there.
If something could ever pass with substantial GOP AND Dem support, tax reform could become the most significant legislation passed in years, especially in that it could finally set a precedent breaking the hyper-partisan gridlock (& diminishing extremists on both sides). But in the face of our national debt surpassing the $20T mark this past week, Trump sounds like he’s spreading the magic pixie dust (along with plenty of horse manure) when he claims this will be the biggest tax cut ever but won’t add to the deficits (& we can all assume he has no clue what he’s saying).
A USA Today article below reveals working age families in their 30’s, 40’s & 50’s have a median amount saved for retirement of only $5000, with minorities faring a lot worse than that. Bottom line is in this new high-tech global economy, we need to reengineer a system that allows for workers & small business to survive & thrive. How to best accomplish that is open to debate, but we’d better start those discussions. So the links below are dominated with articles about the preponderance of struggling Americans & tax reform possibilities, with some links toward the bottom offering a variety of insights….
This might have promise….The new center sure sounds like it beats the polarizing radical extremism that results in nothing productive getting done. Without aspiring to needed bipartisanship, we’ll continue to be bogged down in destructive gridlock….
Did Trump have this in mind….when he’s seeking to work with the Dems? Whether Trump is the impetus or it evolves from other forces, we have got to get it together & unite for the common good….
