Evil-Echo Empire Update
As a continuing public service, I keep warning that the deceptive rightwing echo-chamber voices on radio, TV & the internet are duping the GOP base with their radically-right nonsense. We need real conservative media sources, not the psycho-conservative blather like we have now. So here’s some of the highlights in this edition which the links below provide the in-depth details. Like Boehner before him, Paul Ryan is catching a lot of flak from the echo for being in an impossible position. But the blame why the GOP can’t accomplish anything goes mainly to the House Freedom Caucus for pushing their uncompromising extremist agenda. So while the echo blames the RINO’s, the real fault goes to Trump, far-right radicals in the GOP, & the echo itself.
Charlie Dent just announced he’s retiring from Congress, saying about his desire to bring common sense bipartisanship to DC, “regrettably, that has not been easy given the disruptive outside influences that profit from increased polarization and ideological rigidity that leads to dysfunction, disorder, and chaos.” Sure sounds like he’s referring to destructive forces like the HFC & the echo which greatly hamper our ability to govern & get things done. Much like my friend Steve LaTourette announced six years ago, Charlie is retiring out of frustration with the entrenched DC culture. Other rational moderate reps like Reichert & Lehtinen are likewise stepping aside. Congress unfortunately has lost way too many of these pragmatic leaders, negatively impacting America & the American people when too many extremists which currently control Congress are incapable of working together for the common good. Rubin’s What is wrong with this picture of the GOP (2nd link below) is an excellent read! One very good first step would be to restructure partisan gerrymandering & all the crazy drawn-up districts which give the House radicals an edge.
Among the other articles inside the links, we’ve known for a long time Rush Dimbulb’s rhetoric is toxic, but now it might become deadly. Dimbulb has yet again proven he’s a complete nutcase. His deceived simpleminded audience somehow trust his delusional bombasts, which are so unreasonably extreme they could lead to the death of America. But when he advises his audience in South Florida to basically ignore a Cat 4 or 5 hurricane, reasoning it’s some conspiracy to justify those global warming claims, Dimbulb could literally be responsible for the deaths of his listeners. This moronic blabbermouth might be as crazy as Alex Jones. In New Orleans thousands lost their lives by not heeding the call to evacuate before Katrina hit, which was a Cat 3. If this hurricane was a hoax as Dimbulb claimed, why did he skip his show Friday to hightail it out of his coastal SE Florida studio? It’s no excuse just because Florida’s eastern coast should be spared the worst of this as the projected eye path shifted west, but those on the western coast of Florida now in the eye’s path, for them listening to Dimbulb might cost them their lives.
As echo-entertainers whose main goal is ratings, the more controversial & outlandish they can be, the more entertaining they become which attracts listeners. The problem comes in when their audiences actually believe what they say, even the most outrageous wild speculation & radical-right rhetoric. I’m sure there are some in the conservative audiences following these crazy shows who are discerning enough to separate facts from all the nonsense. But based on most in those audiences who seem to be compliant puppets from the echo’s mind-control tactics, indications are they may be incapable of thinking for themselves, allowing the opinions of the hosts from their selected shows to do all the thinking for them. Stupidity & being misinformed don’t just affect them, since it hurts all of us by misplacing the GOP messaging & policy agenda, which in turn is dragging down America.
The links mention many of the usual suspects spreading their vile indiscretions. Eric Bolling officially got the boot from Fox, which tends to happen once a person gets caught sending lewd pictures of themselves to female colleagues. Other stars on Fox fake-news regularly exposed in this section as knuckleheads in the news are Fox & Friendless, Sucker Tucker & Insanity Hannity, along with organizations like Breitbart, Sinclair & InfoWars. Lou Dobbs, who was once reasonable years ago on another network but apparently aligning with Fox has caused him to lose his mind, as an article below can attest to. And the lady guest recently on his show has always been a heartless raving lunatic. Please forward this info to let your echo-friends know, since their chosen media entertainers are hiding them from the real news & the truth….
Economy section….With Trump acceding to Schumer’s & Pelosi’s plan to push back the debt ceiling fight to December, it raises questions on Trump’s motives. Could it signal an encouraging sign that Trump seeks a more bipartisan approach which has long been shunned by a hyper-partisan DC culture? I’ve always said bipartisanship is the only way to really get things done, where reasonable heads in both parties should work together, leaving buffoons like those in the House Freedom Caucus out in the cold. Or is this surprising shift towards working with Dems being done out of spite for GOP leaders? Perhaps Trump reacted impulsively out of frustration the GOP can’t seem to get things done. Let’s face it, there’s a wide divide within the party between the rational-moderates & the radical-extremists. To the extent Trump & the echo tend to place the blame on the rationals in the GOP is preposterous!
Whichever way the winds blow is how Trump seems to govern, so this foray into choosing the Dem proposal may just be he’s so lacking in any core principles, he’s testing the public & media reactions when touting whatever various positions he may take. His barometer is how it plays with the press as he obsesses over glowing in positive media coverage. It could even be with just a 3-month extension on the debt ceiling Trump senses the Russian scandal is closing in on him, so by December raising the debt limit could be the least of his concerns, with the possibility by then he’s gone from power anyway. And it’s interesting the more Trump fights & alienates GOP leadership, the less support he’s likely to have should the evidence come out pointing to the need for bringing up impeachment.
Furthermore, Trump seems to govern not for passing things beneficial to America, although he might think they’ll help since he doesn’t even understand his own proposals, but he really just wants to pass stuff to put a notch in his belt. And until this week he was only governing for his narrow base & the echo. With all the chaos, dishonesty, divisiveness & the scandal, he’s lost most of his credibility while blowing his political capital through abject incompetence. There’s been no major legislative wins & plenty of duds, from healthcare reform to tax reform, & from rescinding DACA to a travel ban. Whether it’s Trumpcare, tax cuts at the top or building a wall, his ideas would do little or nothing towards actually helping, plus are very unpopular outside his base. He was elected on this expectation of being a master dealmaker, but from what we’ve seen so far he looks like the lousiest dealmaker in presidential history. To channel Trump’s own words, it’s been bad, sad, stupid, terrible, sad, bad.
There’s also several links below about Trump’s out-of-the-blue deal with the Dems, interspersed with various articles on the debt ceiling, DACA & tax reform, the Freedom Caucus stirring up trouble again, the continuing hazards of gerrymandering which needs a major overhaul, plus a rather interesting idea in the last link on the government providing a jobs guarantee. These first few links here expose an economy which is not as rosy as some traditional metrics paint it to be….
