Part Two – Problematic Conservative Political Websites and Moore’s Tarnishing of the Church

Evil-Echo Empire Update
When people are legally blind, know none of the traffic laws & regularly drive 30 mph over the speed limit, they will lose their driver’s licenses. And rightly so, since they are a danger to themselves & everyone else on the road. It’s quite a bit more problematic when it comes to allowing people to have a voting license. Those who follow the echo (including extremely conservative political websites and ‘news sources’) are legally blind in a political sense, based on them constantly hearing falsehoods from which they base their voting decisions, but legally we can’t prevent them from casting votes. So the best hope we have is to better inform that group of voters, which is why we ask you please share these messages. Along with other rational voices out there who can hopefully penetrate that hermetically-sealed echo-bubble of extreme tribalism, we can retrieve some in that bubble-land back into a zone more closely resembling reality. Democracies cannot thrive when the people don’t know the truth, which America’s troubles & malignantly-destructive gridlock can be traced to the counterproductive viewpoints coming from the echo & their fans. Echo-lies need to be exposed. Saving America demands many more in the GOP base returning to sanity.
Intelligent people having integrity, values & love of country will reject & avoid the echo, while others won’t. And nobody in their right mind should ever expose themselves to the insanity on Hannity. For any political discussions with family & friends that may inevitably come up over the holidays, there is no reasoning with Insanity fans, so it’s far easier & less combative to say that you find our site 😉 to be a lot more reasonable & accurate than either Fox or talk radio. Point out to others at least with the Voracs, there’s a chance to save the GOP so leaders can start governing again, compared to the echo where there’s no chance. The insanity on Hannity regularly makes an appearance in the article links, probably since he lies even more than other echo-hosts. We also see links on the Fox dispute between Shep & other Fox hosts on their take on the uranium story. Fox must be in a time warp continuing their constant, long-running crusade to investigate all things Hillary. Do they really want her impeached? Doesn’t she need to be president to do that? Except for Shep & a few others who make sense, Fox isn’t crazy like a fox, they’re just crazy.
There’s also a section loosely based on the alt-right, of which Breitbart is a part of. They seem to be trying to destroy the viability of the GOP even more than Fox. There’s also a few articles on the way Trump is trying to force his will on interfering with a merger, presumably as a payback over CNN’s negative coverage. That’s how dictators operate, trying to control the press & the messaging. I’ll bet with the pro-Trump Sinclair Group, he’ll let that deal slide through so Sinclair can pollute even more local stations. And even if we do manage to curtail all his dictatorial desires through him attacking our democratic institutions, it could still set a precedent for the next strong-armed demagogue we foolishly elect to sweep away the remaining levers of our constitutional freedoms which Trump had previously weakened.
But the headlines have been dominated lately by Roy Moore articles. Moore’s lawyer in a MSNBC interview (see link from Velshi-Ruhle show) offered up a bizarre defense, starting off with bringing up Ali Velshi’s background being an immigrant from Canada & somehow conflating that with a 32-year-old preying on a 14-year-old. It was strange beyond weird. Then the lawyers who drummed up evidence for yesterday afternoon’s press conference defending Moore was more political optics than real evidence, while also trying to placate the insane one before his Fox show on Wednesday night. Their main argument was requesting a study of his signature in a school yearbook. Rush Dimbulb said Moore was a Dem back then when he abused children & teenage women, so I guess that explains it (in his world). Even the insanity of Hannity, who normally would dismiss any sin so long as the perpetrator espouses his same extreme-right ideology, had said Tuesday night he was doubting Moore’s denials & gave him 24 hours to provide satisfactory answers. By Wednesday night, the insanity was back to his normal demonic mindset of deception when he caved to Moore, figuring no horrible acts are ever too egregious to not support a political candidate who walks lockstep with his own crazy agenda.
I had a lengthy commentary in part two a few days ago on the disturbing direction many evangelicals have been heading, manifested again in the Roy Moore story. It’s interesting I’ve gotten some pushback by some in the faith despite my taking the higher moral ground. Maybe they prefer not confronting the sins clearly infiltrating the church. At a time America & the evangelical church badly need revival, look at what we’re getting instead. Here we have a Senate candidate days after evidence revealed he was a child predator & abuser of teenage girls, based on five (now nine) women’s accusations corroborated by 30 different sources, including testimonies how he was banned from the local Gadsden mall for creeping on girls, so the evidence is very strong. Yet here he was on the news during a church revival giving a half-hour rant trying to explain away his abhorrent behavior. He called this a spiritual battle, but it’s evident he’s taking the wrong side. We should never want a child sexual predator taking our side in a spiritual battle. At a time America has lost their moral compass, why should churches help grease the skids?
No matter what Christians personally think about this, it is terrible optics for the faith. Is that the kind of revival God seeks from us, justifying the actions of a child molester? Whoops, if the latest accuser from yesterday & another from today are truthful, it looks like the judge continued abusing while married. But even with a couple more coming forward today, we’re still not up to the count of Trump’s 16 abuse accusers, but there could be more to come for Moore. Granted, the accusations against our President were actually far worse, including reports of him raping a 13-year-old & there was also a witness in the room, but her lawsuit was dropped a year ago before the November election based on threats from Trumpeters. I’m getting myself all worked up now as I think about all the victims, still in disbelief an overwhelming percentage of evangelicals could support Moore or Trump as our leaders after knowing what they’ve done. It’s just so surreal how far some churches have fallen, as again I’ll repeat, when a couple nights ago that event billed as a Christian revival service with news outlets pumping out the Moore sermon throughout the world, was turned into an ode to excusing pedophilia! Evangelical churches should never stoop so low. And the message that’s being sent out to an international audience makes the faith look like it’s full of despicable crackpots. It’s a defilement of the faith. How else to explain stubborn support for the likes of Moore & Trump, leaders of deplorable character. I hate to be so blunt, but I’m not exaggerating when I say many in the world are increasingly seeing evangelicals more like an evil cult. It’s the exact opposite of what the Christian faith should be, so it’s time to recognize & call out the heresy. And no, comparing Moore to Joseph of Mary & Joseph doesn’t cut it. There’s an article below from conservative commentator Cal Thomas, echoing my concerns in his column on, The corruption of American evangelicalism (last link below). I also recently saw conservative pundit Steve Schmidt say the Jesus who walked this Earth 2000 years ago can’t be pleased, probably looking down at some in the flock as like the money changers in the temple or the Pharisees. He went onto say some of these evangelical sects are “a perversion of Christianity” (see Schmidt’s comments midway through the MSNBC video in the next to last link below, it’s outstanding).
But let me also say there are lots of godly Christian leaders out there taking a moral stand. Those are the ones who need to be recognized as our faith’s leaders. A perfect example is Christians should follow Russell Moore & not Roy Moore. As of today we’re up to nine women accusing Moore of inappropriate behavior. The pow-wow Moore had today with a group of religious pastors should be an embarrassment to all believers, with AMEN’s ringing out affirming extremist politics. Plus Moore’s avoidance of questions only helps confirm his guilt. Is our evangelical faith a church of grace, wisdom & love, or are we really turning into a house of madness? That’s a very serious question we should ponder. And the world wonders too. Holding up a man as the epitome of Christian virtues while overlooking the abuse of a 14-year-old girl, that really is pure madness. It’s contrary to our faith. Let’s take our faith back. And Trump is reluctant to weigh in on Moore, since that could highlight his own numerous sexual assaults. So as I’ve predicted, not long after Moore steps down from the Senate race, we’ll also be witnessing Trump exiting the White House. But if Moore refuses to step down, then it’s your choice Alabama, you can either choose a Dem or side with a child molester. And there’s nothing I find more objectionable & hypocritical than someone representing evil while standing in a church invoking the name of Christ.
We’re now seeing sexual abuse allegations becoming a feeding frenzy, not just in politics but also in the entertainment & business world. Women who previously had no voice against powerful men are getting their vengeance. They should all be viewed under the lens whether any incidents may have been a one-time playful lapse of judgement, or a pattern of awful behavior that defines a man’s character. While men absolutely should not abuse women, we must also give a nod to it’s human nature that men & women perceive their relationships from different perspectives, since we are indeed wired differently. A man’s advances can be perceived by the woman as an annoyance. We can’t turn into a society where men are afraid to legitimately pursue women for dates & relationships in fear of the repercussions, but they also need to understand where they’d be guilty of crossing the line. The headlines on Al Franken today features another woman who sounds very credible. It doesn’t rise near to the level of complaints against Judge Moore, since it was a single case & Franken wasn’t a pedophile, but that doesn’t mean it can be excused & so a congressional ethics probe is warranted.
So the evidence for any accusation must be evaluated objectively, especially when there are claims of unwanted physical contact or harassment. But in the case of Moore when there’s multiple women involved with numerous sources providing corroborating accounts, that helps give a story lots of credence. Maybe this is a time in our history we can break this seemingly embedded culture of influential men using their power to inappropriately prey on women. It’d be great to have a more civil/moral society where the different sexes treat each other with respect. But we also must guard against the real danger of fake news allegations ruining the reputations of otherwise innocent people, where charges are used as nothing more than a political weapon or an accuser might seek the headlines only to advance their career aspirations. So as all these new revelations hit the news reports & there’ll surely be more, it’s important they each be reviewed on their own merits while also determining does it fit within a pattern of behavior.
