Part Two – More Political Updates for Moore

Political Updates according to the Echo

Evil-Echo Empire Update

With so many political updates lately, I’ve put the Economy Section in part 3, but the song is still below here in part 2.  Trump’s attempts to turn American democracy into an autocracy, his strategy has always been first & foremost to attack & discredit the media.  We need to make people aware of the dangers, since the echo is in on the diabolical plot & the audiences inside the echo-bubble are being badly deceived, unaware of this threat to our democracy.  I believe there are enough safeguards built into our constitutional system to stop his totalitarian vision, but we can’t be too careful.  The first few links below help warn us of a leader with dictatorial instincts who would threaten to run roughshod over our freedoms, which never before has such a threat emerged in the modern age as we now see with Trump.  These 3 paragraphs are excerpts from The Hill article, One year since election Trump steadily eroding democracy:

Ronald Reagan once said that “freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” He was right, and we, in the Trump era, are the generation that Reagan was unwittingly speaking about.

Trump is precisely the kind of demagogue that the founders of America’s democratic republic worried about. They designed a system that anticipated someone like Trump. But his authoritarian instincts and impulses still pose a serious threat to the integrity of our democratic system of government.

The danger, unfortunately, is real. Trump may not be a despot, but he is behaving like a despot’s apprentice — borrowing tactics from dictators and authoritarian strongmen across the globe.

In The Street article we see this paragraph on Trump’s war on the free press.  Even though the Rosenstiel quote is followed by his thought that it’s unlikely America will succumb to fascism, we’re still teetering dangerously close, especially should it ever reach the point a higher number of Americans trust Trump’s personal state-run echo over the real media:

“What Trump is trying to do is the wholesale disqualification of the mainstream reporting press as an institution,” says Tom Rosenstiel, executive director of the American Press Institute.  He adds that techniques Trump has used such as talking about pulling licenses of broadcasters and depicting accurate stories as false “are used in other countries by dictators to undo constitutional freedoms.

The next set of links below, as we always feature, expose the deception, dis-ingenuousness & moral depravity of the echo, all those radicalized far-right talk shows & extremist conservative websites.  The Post link exposing the busiest website which posts Russian propaganda, it’s the Drudge Report & that article shows it might pose as big a danger as Fox fake-news.  There’s a large number of articles dealing with the echo’s shameless & unfathomably illogical excuses providing cover for Judge Roy Moore.  It is deplorable & yet again exposes the echo as the evil force it truly is, as their rhetoric tries justifying evil.

There are no good reasons particularly for the goofball Insanity Hannity to EVER be on the air either on TV or radio, being evil personified.  He’s stinking up the airwaves by repeatedly spewing obvious lies without a hint of shame or remorse, except he must know he has like-minded goofballs listening to him.  It’s sort of like the same dynamics where flies are drawn to garbage.

The evil insane one is even losing advertisers due to his chronic lying & depraved opinions that go well beyond the reasoning of any normal/ethical human being.  The exiting of several sponsors were sparked by Insanity’s latest gambit to cover for an apparent pedophile, requesting his viewers give Judge Moore the benefit of the doubt despite the recent revelations of overwhelmingly solid evidence regarding previous inexcusable actions.  Some gullible Hannity watchers are even smashing their Keurig coffee machines after the company dropped their ads from the show, but when that Insanity show comes on I’m about tempted to smash my Keurig machine through the TV. If you talk politics with any friends or family, especially with the holidays approaching & there are so many hot topics in the political headlines, if you know in advance they expose themselves to Insanity, you’ll know where they’re coming from.  And if they recite that typical nonsensical talking-heads rubbish, a good revealing question to direct at them is do they tune into Hannity?  A yes response explains it all.  There are no intelligent discussions possible with Insanity fans.

As for the huge number of links below on the Moore scandal, the newsfeeds are overflowing with the responses we’re hearing from many echo-figures & evangelical leaders.  It’s time to call out some of these terrible enablers, since there is no moral justification for excusing Moore’s behavior while also ridiculing the poor women who were sexually abused at an early age & have dealt with those emotional scars for most of their lives.  Moore can’t be prosecuted but certainly doesn’t belong in the U.S. Senate.  And any echo-audience member who would allow so much ridiculous rhetoric to enter their minds about Moore & all the other absurd opinions those far-right nutjobs spew, they have only themselves to blame.  The craziness goes well beyond Insanity, extending out to include radio hosts like Rush Dimbulb, Mark Levin & Alex Jones, & Fox hosts like Ingraham, Carlson, Watters, Gutfeld & that aimlessly mind-twisting morning show.  Perhaps atrocities like pedophilia are par for the course inside Fox studios, since they’ve enabled a culture of sexual harassment & abuse for many years.

These actions of a grown man preying on underaged girls are an abhorrent act of a pervert….period!  Granted it happened a long time ago & we must always be leery of false allegations being used as a political weapon, but based on the detailed & credible accounts of four women plus 30 corroborating sources with connections to the women, there’s no doubt in my mind the women are telling the truth & Roy Moore is a liar.  Another woman came forward today saying Moore sexually assaulted her when she was just 16.  How much more Moore evidence do we need?  Many respected GOP leaders are calling for Moore to step down from the race, including Mitch McConnell who today said he believes the women. That the Washington Post last week came out with the story now, it’s the first time Moore has sought such a high-profile political position as the U.S. Senate, so journalists pursued stories of rumors about Moore that had been floating out there for a long time.  And remember that many of the horrible crimes committed by the likes of Harvey Weinstein or Bill Cosby also occurred long ago, but does that make them any less despicable? The pressure on Moore is so great I expect him to soon step aside. But might the White House manipulate the situation to put Sessions back in his old Senate seat, putting a crony in to head the Justice Dept. as a way to get at Mueller?  We can’t put anything past this president.

There’s nothing wrong & is even advisable people face higher scrutiny when aspiring to higher leadership positions, while it’s wise Americans should hold our DC leaders to higher standards.  Character should matter more than political ideologies.  I’ve always been a GOP supporter (at least until recently), but my full support for Bill Clinton’s impeachment was entirely based on his obvious moral failings.  This Moore story that has just erupted is the most disgusted I’ve been in any political candidate since another adult pervert admitted to walking into dressing rooms to gawk at naked young girls, which he justified his deplorable actions through his status of being the owner of the beauty pageant.  So what we have here is one guy who should not be elected to the Senate while the other should not be our current President!  Moore is taking a page out of the Trump playbook, when after being exposed as a moral degenerate, they lie, deny & blame the accusers.  So like Trump, Moore blames the women, media, political establishment, anyone who suggests he should exit the race, & he’ll probably even find a way to turn the tables in somehow blaming Hillary.  And his denials were far from convincing.  He’s also threatening to sue the Post, which was always part of Trump’s intimidation tactics routinely threatening to sue opponents.

Under normal circumstances Moore’s political career would be over, but in this era of alternative facts where the echo spews out lies as a routine practice of their successful business model, they have a way of getting their bamboozled audiences into believing the lies.  And it seems the lies have a particular hold on ruby-red states like Alabama.  That Moore is still projected to have a shot at winning speaks volumes.  And with more Alabama evangelicals than not saying this scandal makes them more likely to vote for him, it shows a spirit is running through that flock, but is certainly not of God.  As Neil Young sings in a song with this opening line:

Oh, Alabama
The devil fools with the best laid plan
Swing low Alabama

As a believer, let me offer heartfelt advice you’ll never hear from the pulpit or even fellow believers. The forces of evil can often take advantage of tribal group-thinks that are accepted/spread unconditionally.  Within the evil echo, represented by radical far-right talk shows & extremist conservative websites which are increasingly defiling conservative politics with their toxic brew, perhaps the greatest damage is coming from not just an unrelenting attack to destroy the GOP, but in defiling the general mindset of religious conservatives.  This has risen beyond the ideological political debate of conservative vs. liberal.  It’s now literally become a battle between good vs. evil, moral vs. immoral, light vs. darkness, truth vs. lies.  But it’s real perplexing to me how the conservative political party I’ve supported for a lifetime & the religious faith I’m a believer in, they are increasingly siding with the wrong side!  And now we’re finding another example of this aligning with evil as Moore is wearing his religion on his sleeve while running on the platform of conservative religious values, so to the extent Christians buy in will be a huge dark stain on our religion.  It only adds to the stain from a year ago with 80%+ white evangelical support for Trump.

As evangelicals we should get back to the basics as followers of Jesus, emulating his teachings & example of treating others with love, understanding, genuineness & respect.  But he was still very strict & condemning of his evil immoral enemies.  It’s time for us as Christians to stand for what is right, leaving behind the toxic political extremism, inward-looking selfishness, close-minded stubbornness, transparent hypocrisy, tacit support of immoral depravity, unholy tribal allegiances & all such related baggage that is increasingly defining the evangelical church.  In abandoning the church’s basic moral principles, the world easily sees the obvious hypocrisy, which if evangelicals don’t engage in some sort of revival to excise the demons & return to their core purpose, it won’t be long before there’s not much of a church left.  Not only will more discerning believers question the direction of the faith, but non-believers won’t be attracted to the faith whatsoever, seeing how those crazy church-people are even more morally screwed up than they are.

Certainly as Christians, we should definitely follow the teachings from the likes of faith leader Dr. Russell Moore over supporting Judge Roy Moore.  Again, we’re talking good vs. evil, moral vs. immoral.  One thing all good people should agree on is the sexual abuse of a child is a hideous crime!  In the links below, I’ve hesitantly included Frank Schaeffer’s comments as it relates to Roy Moore’s alleged infidelities.  While I don’t subscribe to many of his opinions, I think it’s important to hear him out on how the evangelical church has in some ways gone wayward.  See how the world is perceiving the faith.  Ponder how the contradictions only drive people away.  Evangelicals should be honestly introspective enough to take his criticisms to heart, since I truly believe he’s accurate on many points.  Another article that accurately sums it up is a USA Today story about how a Moore victory would be toxic to the religious right.  This unfettered support for the likes of Moore & Trump confirms my great concern many in the church have fallen for the deceptive messaging & hypocrisy that could ultimately undermine the faith.

I do believe so much of what we hear from renowned thought-shapers such as Limbaugh, Hannity, Bannon & Falwell Jr. are lies from the pit of hell, yet so many Christian conservatives don’t display the discernment to see through the deception, but rather wholly buy in.  Notice that’s a wholly buy in & not a holy buy in, which again puts into focus the battle between good & evil, & evangelicals of all people should be able to access God’s wisdom to actually choose the holy side.  Based on faulty leadership influencing unholy alliances & beliefs that are forming among many evangelical cliques, is it possible God is starting to look down at certain leaders of our faith as modern-day scribes & pharisees?  The more evangelicals directed by some of their leadership openly express support for immoral straw-men political figures like Trump & Moore, the more the faith is perceived as trusting extremist worldly leaders for political gain over trusting the almighty God & his eternal kingdom that awaits.

The past few years the GOP & evangelicals are increasingly failing dismally on the ethics meter.  It’s no coincidence many of them are also plugged into the echo, those radicalized far-right talk shows & extremist conservative websites.  I normally prefer avoiding religion in my political commentary, while in general a healthy separation of church & state is for the best outside social issues, but with the newsfeeds overflowing with political updates on the Moore story & reaction of evangelicals, the headlines call out for having that discussion.  Just because a political candidate professes to be Christian, or the prevailing thought from evangelical leaders or throughout a congregation leans a certain way, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s moral or right.  I fully understand some in the faith basing their vote on the singular issue of pro-life/anti-abortion, but in aligning with evil to repel evil is critically-flawed thinking.

When evangelicals don’t clearly recognize right from wrong, but instead believe the punditry coming from the echo or certain faith leaders they’ve always trusted, they are indeed being led astray.  Yes, we’ve got a serious problem when we’re witnessing atheists & so many other demographic groups taking the higher moral ground in their personal values than evangelicals.  None of this makes any sense.  It’s a very bad look for the evangelical church.  We should all search our moral conscience & through prayer be led of God what is moral & ethical, whose wisdom & understanding extends far beyond man’s.  And absolutely do not overlook when the faith community is seen as accepting of abject immorality, it tends to disqualify the validity of the faith itself.

Today she said she was a victim of a sexual assault by Roy Moore when she was only 16

This had nothing to do with love, it was a pervert in his 30’s committing an awful attack.
