Ukraine Ambassador Lays Out the Quid Pro Quo…Some huge headline news today!!! Check back with us on the weekend for our in-depth commentaries. As for Taylor’s congressional testimony today, the transcripts can’t be made public yet since Congress is in the midst of their ongoing investigations, but there were reports of gasps in the chamber. And his released 15-page opening statement produced a collective gasp among many of us in the public. I’ll try to sum up the quid pro quo in one sentence: Taylor drew a direct line to Trump who ordered the deal, informing Ukraine their essential military aid & a White House visit were conditioned on them making a public declaration they’re opening an investigation to dig up the dirt on the Bidens, plus they were required to probe debunked conspiracies from 2016 featuring whether Ukraine possessed the DNC servers.
Was this plot crazy? Yes! And was it criminal & impeachable? Most definitely! Especially since Taylor’s accounts corroborate with the other witnesses, so as more continue to testify, Congress can fill in the blanks. We are now most assuredly on the road to impeachment. The only remaining questions once it hits the Senate, will the GOP base come to accept the truth & will GOP senators abide by the law? At least 20 of them need to find their ethics & conscience.
