Evil-Echo Empire Update
Everyone likes the drama of a good mystery. The plot gets that much more enticing when the storyline creates a villain or group of villains, so the audience can envision themselves aligned with the role of the good guys fighting off their enemies. The emotional connection & interest can get ratcheted up even higher when the narrator can convince the audience this is real-life drama based on a true story. That’s how the echo masterfully spins their tale to capture their audiences. What started off as a cottage industry grew into a monster based on weaving fake stories into something believable enough for their far-right audiences, portraying those wild conspiracies as true so their narrative can be built upon intrigue & stirring emotions. Their manipulations hook the audience & boost the ratings. It’s not news, it’s not governing, it’s not valid policies, it’s simply entertainment.
Trump follows the same script as his state-run echo by demonizing any opposition he doesn’t like. The President & the echo feed off each other. By verifying each other’s distortions & falsehoods, they manage to convince each other there’s some validity to their concocted conspiracies. Make no mistake, the embodiment of fake news is the echo, while Trump’s version of fake news would be true reporting from the media that accurately call out his flaws & failings. That’s why he gets infuriated & calls them fake. To him truth isn’t reality, truth is only what makes him look good. Correction, not just good, but great. Everything in his world having to do with him is always the greatest. It’s all that matters to him, he doesn’t relate to others except those who can heap great praise upon him, so his whole world is a magical kingdom made only for him based on contrived alternative facts. The echo have learned to feed that reality & massive ego. Sure, the real media does make mistakes, but they don’t intentionally mislead as what constantly comes from Trump & his echo.
With Trump, his staff, his pundits & the echo committing several demonstrable lies on a daily basis, it’s difficult to comprehend the type of mentality it actually takes to believe them. But many echo-fans have been trapped inside echo-bubble for so many years, they’ve been conditioned to believe everything they hear or see coming from their TV, radio &/or internet. That’s why if we can find a way to get them to read this commentary & some of the articles below, they’re the ones who need it the most. It won’t be easy in cases where years of echo-exposure have done their damage, but we should do our best to try & break that spell they’re under. Remember what’s at stake. They’ve fallen for an extreme ideology which is no longer rational conservatism, so we need to retrieve them back to sanity, since we badly need an intelligent/informed base to literally save the GOP & help the nation.
Let’s review some of those links below. We see how Trump needs to have an opponent to create those villains to pick on, so he just can’t give up bashing Obama & Hillary. And the echo compliantly falls in line. In a Newsmax article & other news sources, we’re seeing those like Gingrich calling out Bannon for cannibalizing their own party, so it does offer hope the far-right feuding with the alt-right can ultimately divide & conquer the echo. We also have the prerequisite number of articles on Fox which show the level of treachery in their reporting is beyond measure. Right below the links on the disgraced but arrogant as ever O’Reilly, there are a couple articles revealing voices on Fox who are actually sane. That’s not always easy to find.
Also seek out the links where Trump is pushing the Obama administration’s uranium deal with Russia as the real scandal, attempting to make a big diversion from his own Russian scandal. Trump has done this often, dredging up any negative story about Obama or Hillary to draw attention away from the investigations which could bring down his presidency. I say investigate more closely the uranium deal also if they so wish. I’ve always viewed that deal with suspicion as the motives for the deal seemed fishy, but to portray it on the same level as potential Russian collusion in the election is absurd. Any of these Russian dealings are way too important & such a threat to our nation & democratic system, we need to spend the money & time to whatever extent it takes to get at the facts. Any of our leaders should be held accountable for any possible corrupt & illegal activities that were committed, especially exposing proof of collaborating with a foreign adversary having bad intent towards America.
A Politico story in the final link is terrifying, with so many in the GOP base believing the media lies about Trump, when the truth is really the other way around. That’s why rational GOP supporters should abandon the party until this fever breaks, since any party cannot represent any type of constructive policy agenda when their base, fooled by the echo, are living in some destructive alternative-facts fairyland. The real swamp to fight back against is in the echo, Trumpism, Bannon’s alt-right & the snookered fans who’ve unwittingly bought into this ridiculous form of demented nihilism. And don’t look now, but Fox & Friendless might be as hysterical as the 3 Stooges, while Insanity Hannity with his implausible conspiracy theories has gotten as crazy as Alex Jones.

Economy Section
Trump & the GOP are walking a tightrope & may be boxed in by their own legislative agenda. They readily admit they’re going to be in trouble if they don’t start passing some major bills. But Trump is not taking a leadership role in crafting & pushing through legislation involving tax reform, healthcare & immigration. We hear plenty of grandiose promises & boasts from him, but his claims seem mostly disconnected from what’s actually in the bills he’s selling. Trump bounces back & forth from courting the far right & then the Dems, which is enough to make our heads spin as we never know where he’s coming from. So he passes the buck off to a very divided GOP caucus who can never agree on the specifics which should be included in a bill. In trying to appease all sides, the final product typically comes out as a convoluted mess, full of so many holes & flaws it becomes unsellable to the public.
Trump & the echo are quick to distance themselves from the blame, making up their standard fallback excuse it must be the establishment elite & the deep state who are to blame. We never hear from the echo where the blame really lies. Start off with Trump’s cluelessness & lack of leadership, in conjunction with far-right congressional extremists who insist on putting in their poison pills to any legislation, it creates an end product which becomes way too unpopular to actually pass. Have you seen how unpopular both the GOP tax & healthcare bills are in recent polls? It’s because they weren’t put together well & certainly weren’t sold well at all. Whether those bills can pass or not, the GOP is going to take plenty of blame either way.
In the Senate, the echo is quick to blame the Senator from Kentucky. But they got the wrong one! McConnell is only trying to cobble together lots of disparate interests, but it’s the Jr. Senator from Ky. who should really get blamed, since it’s rancid-Rand who drags details of any legislation way to the radical right, while voting down many of these bills. With the likes of him & gridlock-Teddy in the Senate, it should be clear why nothing gets through. Over in the House, Speaker Ryan’s job is every bit as impossible as what Boehner experienced. The reason boils down to the hardcore fanatics in the freedom-less caucus, who just like their libertarian/tea party colleagues in the Senate, are dragging the agenda so far on the extreme far-right it sabotages getting anything done.
So make no mistake, while the DC establishment may be a little too entrenched & too comfortable, requiring a healthy shakeup once in awhile, they are not the main reason important legislation is not getting passed. Extremism is what’s bringing on our polarization & gridlock, & that extends to both parties. But as a lifelong Republican, I’ve seen how the influence of the echo has dragged the conservative ideology way to the hardcore extreme, especially over this past decade, to where it’s become unpalatable to the majority of Americans. So while the energy in the base of both parties have shifted to the fringes, the GOP shift rightward has been far more pronounced. The media does lean left of center, but the progressive far-left doesn’t have a media conglomerate with anywhere near the reach & impact of the rightwing echo.
So this unholy alliance of the echo & their audiences, with Trump & his merry band of Trumpeters, have normalized this culture of divisiveness & hyper-partisanship, where reaching across the aisle in seeking negotiations & compromise is furiously forbidden by this bunch. Their nihilistic mission requiring a strict adherence to rigid tribal loyalties is sacrosanct relative to pursuing the common good for all. The more such an extremist agenda gets popularized in echo-bubble world, the more unpopular overall conservatism & the GOP becomes. This echo movement could be the curse that brings socialism to America, as the majority get so fed up with their brand of radicalized obstructionism, voters will bring the other extreme into power out of frustration the GOP proved hopelessly futile in getting things done. And Trump is making the brand even more toxic.
Kudos to the group of 24 today (12 from each party) trying to get a healthcare bill through. At least they’re trying to do something. But the day after declaring Obamacare dead, Trump praised the bipartisan attempts at a healthcare deal to save Obamacare, which he then quickly walked back. He wavers wildly from moment to moment. This new plan is more logical than previous Trumpcare proposals, & for a permanent fix input from both sides is what is really needed. That permanent fix is very difficult if not impossible based on escalating costs being at the heart of the problem, which is the underlying reason for rising premiums & higher deductibles. The President’s attention span is practically nonexistent which is why he’s all over the map, jumping impulsively from one side to the other depending on some partisan voice bending his ear. Or he changes his mind in panic when he senses pushback coming from the echo & his base. After all, he’s not acting as President of the U.S., but only leader of the echo & his Trumpeters. The problem with this President is he has no established ideologies. Whichever the way the wind blows, his beliefs are based on whatever the last person he talked to told him.
On the other major initiative, Trump keeps claiming the middle class gets most of the tax breaks, when the specifics are screaming out otherwise. It looks to be just another tax cut for the rich on the implausible assumption trickle-down can magically materialize when the scraps filter through. That supply-side nonsense no longer works, plus just like their previous attempts to sell Trumpcare, is totally unsellable to the public as we see more of the details. But as the White House claims, it’s just too hard not to give tax cuts to the rich. Seriously, they really said that. Trump also claims us in the middle class will get a $4000 raise. Yea, right. Just like as a sales rep when I sell my next widget, I can tell myself I’ll make a $4000 commission, but just wishing it doesn’t make it so. The big push is being made now on tax reform & may get a vote soon, with the GOP desperate for legislative accomplishments.
So many of the world’s challenges could see a dramatic improvement if we’d commission smarter heads to work on transformational ideas, needing to revamp the free-market system towards providing shared prosperity throughout the working class. It must be different from the stale agendas from either party. It can’t be based on socialism which fosters dependency & robs individual initiative. It can’t be unfettered free market capitalism where wealthy corporate interests have rigged the system against workers & perpetuates the escalating wage/wealth gaps. Let’s face it, in our current structure we’re seeing growing profits all going to investors, not workers. The equation has gotten way out of whack. There must be some idyllic middle ground between right & left, if politicians & the people were to develop the wisdom/determination to pursue it, from which success in upending the old order of things would be exceedingly difficult but well worth the effort.
Especially in this new era of automation, technology, robotics & artificial intelligence, the old workplace will no longer exist & we need to do something. Under this global economy, it’s even possible in the near future capitalist & socialist systems will merge under the umbrella of mammoth corporate entities, not nation states. More robust economic growth built through an economy where the population as a whole enjoy the benefits would spill over into lessening many of our other problems (if we could just figure out a way). Just think of all the areas our situation could improve, including wage growth, disposable income, consumer confidence/demand, incentivizing & dignifying work, increasing tax revenues, reducing debt/deficits, funding retirement programs, funding for vital public investments like education, infrastructure & R&D, more entrepreneurial opportunities, reduced stress resulting in fewer mental health issues & drug addictions/deaths like the opioid crisis, & also generate enough new revenue to enhance our national security. I know there’s no such thing as a perfect world & utopia doesn’t exist in this life, but we should strive to correct the serious issues that have become so glaringly obvious.
Two other areas that could be greatly impacted is in reducing the threat of inner-city gangs, terrorism & wars, plus unraveling the entrenched DC culture of polarization & gridlock. Young people raised in oppression with few prospects for the future seek to belong to something bigger than themselves, where the ingredients for a vibrant economy can be channeled into productive rather than destructive endeavors, particularly when the rewards are there & a strong work ethic becomes accepted throughout a given culture. So rather than an angry attitude translating into joining an evil ideology, terrorism can be tamped down when vulnerable populations are presented with better options. Also if our new successful economic model can be copied by numerous nations, a productive working class emerging throughout the world can alleviate the economic distress that provides the fuel for starting so many wars. As for governing, when the people as a whole benefit from economic growth, instead of the uneven economy we have now, the anger among voters won’t be so simmering hot. That could help fend off polarization & gridlock so leadership stops being so smothered, allowing DC to preside over a functional system & be much more proactive in responding to problems from the moment they crop up. Economically, everything is riding on putting more of the workforce into more productive careers.

If Trump serves out his full four-year term (doubtful) & runs for reelection in 2020 (highly doubtful), his mismanagement of Puerto Rican relief aid is partly responsible for island residents, feeling abandoned in their homeland, fleeing to Florida in the tens of thousands. Ironically, that could be enough to sway that pivotal state blue in the next presidential race. Trump said today his response on Puerto Rico was a 10. Must have been on a scale of 1-1000.

There’s so much going on lately all at once it can make your head spin. And much of that news has been disastrous. From deadly hurricanes to the mass shooting & then the wildfires were horrible. This week the agony from the loss in Gold Star families that became so politicized, there’s been real tragedy dominating the headlines. Yes, it is so sad, but we press on with tomorrow being another day….
