Trump Crime Reports Put On Hold But Not Forgotten
And believe me, there’s more coming, since the evidence we’ve seen so far has been overwhelming in that this man has led a life of crime. So it won’t be long before investigators & the media expose more of his criminal behavior since a zebra doesn’t change its stripes, & additional details of the illegal con game he’s been engaged in but kept hidden for decades will still come out. And all the crimes we’ve seen revealed the past 3 years have been bad enough, multiple times worse than Watergate ever was, but Nixon never had the protection of a cult echo & base. The Autocratic King Empowered By His Echo
I’ve always been a lifelong GOP supporter (at least until recent years). There was a time in our country it made sense to be a Republican, since they had valid arguments for constructive governing. The party currently is not the same party I once supported, not even close! That most conservatives remain inside the corrupted/toxic GOP tent has become a national tragedy (as if we needed another tragedy). They willingly if unknowingly have come to support tribal entrenchment, selfishness, nativism, nihilism, divisiveness, dishonesty, corruption & demagoguery. How much worse could a major political party possibly get? What’s so disconcerting is the GOP base has become so thoroughly blinded & unaware of what they’ve become, it has become impossible to reason with most of them. It’s been the byproduct of years of disturbing brainwashing from an increasingly radicalized echo-media, contaminating their faithful followers’ mindset with irrational extremist views, where all of them are now firmly entrapped inside their hermetically-sealed bubble far removed from reality.
It’s the conservative existence in that alternate universe consumed by alternative facts which have given rise to a destructive tyrannical leader like Trump, not so much the other way around. So it’s really the echo primarily to blame for our underlying problems, dumbing-down the GOP base to where overall as a people we cannot even agree around simple basic facts. And as the echo has paved the way for a president with no regard for our Constitution & free society, he’s someone who must be stopped before the damage done becomes permanent & our democracy irrecoverable. His quest for absolute power & placing zombie-like robots in key leadership positions can literally set the stage for fascism to take hold, especially given he still has the backing of his echo to keep snookering their party’s base.

The Evil Echo
For decades the echo-virus has spread further & wider than Corona, infecting the vulnerable minds of their audiences. Starting with Limbaugh & all those radio loonies who spun off from him, to Drudge & that whole disturbing world running throughout internet sites/social media groups, to Hannity & all the other TV nutballs, plus the dumbbell remnants of the tea party, together they’ve launched all the madness running rampant out there. That’s how a cult was formed. To save America, that rotten thinking needs quarantined & contained, perhaps even being eradicated someday. So hopefully experts could find a vaccine to stamp out that far-right extremism. I was once a listener to Rush & Hannity, but that was years ago before they went off the rails! I’ve never leaned liberal, but the Dems have my full support based on how corrupt & dangerous the GOP has become, being spellbound through wallowing in the smelly muck of the absurd echo rhetoric. I long for the day when we had pragmatic/sane conservative voices to lead their Republican Party. The Economy & Coronavirus
I’ve always considered myself a moderate conservative, being adamantly opposed to giving long-time government handouts to able-bodied/able-minded adults. Everybody who can should fend for themselves & earn their own keep, not relying on welfare programs which facilitate a dependency mentality. But an exception must be made to this pandemic emergency, or otherwise our entire economy would collapse. Expect that yet another stimulus bill is soon on the way to fill in the gaps. So these stimulus bills can try tiding people over for awhile, which let’s just hope & pray we can soon flatten the curve & get the virus spread trending downwards, so the economy can maybe reopen before summer arrives. A prolonged shutdown stretching through the summer would signal a catastrophe, likely damaging various sectors of our economy beyond repair. It also would obviously indicate we failed to get a handle on the spread of the virus, extending the misery/death to millions along with the fear/isolation for all of us.
The virus has practically frozen our economy in place while also putting enormous strain our our entire healthcare system. That major strain extends to our healthcare insurance coverage we rely on. Unlike other developed nations, America relies heavily on privatized healthcare through employers, which by the numbers our costs overall are 2-3 times higher than other countries while leaving tens of millions of our citizens uninsured. I’ve never understood why we can’t fill in the gaps by adopting some of the same universal coverage plans used successfully by most every other country, but that’s where the echo-machine has conditioned the conservative base into stubbornly thinking their antiquated model is still the American way. I realize private insurance won’t be replaced any time soon since it’s too ingrained in our system, but we can improve our public insurance offerings by modeling what other nations have effectively done.
For now during this emergency, the focus is on trying to preserve the economy & prevent it from collapsing. And the longer the virus keeps spreading, the tougher that job is going to be. Even once we get through this international nightmare, the ongoing issue remains not enough jobs in America are able to pay a livable wage. That long-term dilemma greatly exacerbates the current emergency, in that most Americans don’t have the financial means to cover their bills when their incomes are disrupted for just a month or two. First we need to save the economy in the coming months, but long term there needs to be a thorough examination of various innovative ideas for fundamentally restructuring careers & compensation. It simply cannot be sustained that the rewards from economic growth keep going almost entirely to the very top. Such a major undertaking may realistically have to wait for the day we get a real leader in the White House & our bitter polarization isn’t so severe/crippling. But millions of Americans will no doubt continue struggling financially long after the virus crisis subsides, so this current upheaval just might help inspire a movement to pursue bold solutions our economy so badly needs.

It may not be at all safe to reopen the economy until the virus spread has subsided, plus we’ll need rapid-fire mass self-testing so those who catch the virus can be quickly identified & isolated, helping stop any potential second round of the virus outbreak in its tracks. A Classic Example of What Happens During a Crisis When a Nation Puts an Incompetent Doofus in Charge

Of course, it was Trump in conjunction with his echo who did indeed early on suggest the virus was a hoax/flu/deep-state plot that would soon fade away like a miracle. His tremendous leadership had the whole situation under control, at least according to him. So had Trump been more proactive/assertive in his initial response like he should have been, it would have run contrary to his bold boasts & infallible judgement about this virus being no big deal. Now that it’s turned into a very big deal, the president’s amnesia has suddenly kicked in as he convinces his base he never said the things he said. Far worse is the human carnage. We already have more confirmed coronavirus cases than any other country. Trump claimed on Feb. 26 that the outbreak would soon be “down to close to zero.” Now he argues that if the death toll is 100,000 to 200,000 — higher than the U.S. fatalities in all of our wars combined since 1945 — it will be proof that he’s done “a very good job.” No, it will be a sign that he’s a miserable failure, because the coronavirus is the most foreseeable catastrophe in U.S. history. The warnings about the Pearl Harbor and 9/11 attacks were obvious only in retrospect. This time, it didn’t require any top-secret intelligence to see what was coming. The alarm was sounded in January by experts in the media and by leading Democrats including presumptive presidential nominee Joe Biden. Government officials were delivering similar warnings directly to Trump. A team of Post reporters wrote on Saturday: “The Trump administration received its first formal notification of the outbreak of the coronavirus in China on Jan. 3. Within days, U.S. spy agencies were signaling the seriousness of the threat to Trump by including a warning about the coronavirus —the first of many—in the President’s Daily Brief.” But Trump wasn’t listening.
